What we collect

• Account info: email, username, display name, password (hashed). If you sign in with Facebook or Google, we store the provider ID and the profile info they share with us (name, email, profile picture).
• Contest data: pictures you upload or fetch, votes cast, contests started.
• Logs: IP address, user agent, and timestamps for security and abuse prevention. The IP address recorded with each vote is used only to detect ballot stuffing and is erased automatically a few weeks after the contest ends.
• Reports: if you report a battle, we keep the reason, any details you add, your IP address and (optionally) your email so moderators can follow up.

What we do with it

• Run the contests, count votes, and show leaderboards.
• Send you transactional emails (verification, account notices) — never marketing without your opt-in.
• Detect and stop abuse like vote manipulation or scraping.

What we don't do

• We don't sell your data to anyone, ever.
• We don't run third-party advertising trackers on the site.

Facebook profile pictures

When you supply a Facebook profile URL or username for a contest, we fetch the public profile picture using Facebook's public Graph endpoint and cache a copy on our servers so the contest page keeps working. We don't pull any other information from that profile, and we don't link the contest to that person's account.

If you are the subject of a contest you didn't start and want it removed, contact us — we'll review and take it down if appropriate.

Cookies

We use session cookies to keep you signed in. That's it.

Your rights

You can delete your account at any time. See our data-deletion page for the three ways to do this:

• Self-service from your profile page on DP Contest
• Through Facebook's Apps and Websites settings (we receive a signed deletion request and act on it)
• By emailing us via the contact page

Each method gives you a confirmation code and a status URL you can save for your records. Contact us to request a copy of your data before deletion.
